Team arrival & rest
In January 2010 Bro. Ram (New York) contacted me and shared Father’s heart, I sought Father’s heart for myself and after discussions with Pastor Bent we started meeting to pray as a small Guyana mission group in response to the call for Guyana in April 2010. Through these months of prayers Father confirmed His heart for our engagement and began to show us specific areas. He began to prepare our hearts, Father sent me out last September to meet with the saints in Guyana when God confirmed and clarified our engagement for this mission. I continued in faith, fasting, prayer and listening to Father’s heart.
He confirmed to me that I would be taking a team of approximately 25 people, needing a budget of between £40,000.00 - £50,000.00 getting the team there, look after the team, serve the people, bless them and return home. He also said to me that I will be doing the mission differently - having different teams all ministering at different locations in diverse ministry but simultaneously over the same period. Wanting to impact lives in Guyana and lives from here into the new thing He is doing. Father led us to specific themes and directions for the various dimensions of the mission.
Having planned the mission, been on the mission and now back, I can only but say our God is an Awesome God! He reigns in heaven and earth calling men everywhere to a surrendered obedience that His Kingdom would come on earth as it is in Heaven. We have been privileged to see Father do the exceedingly abundant beyond our comprehension over and above all our expectations in all that He has challenged our hearts to reach for in faith.
We had five teams:
1- Evangelism team (Land of Canaan, Swan & Coverden)
2- Deeper life team One (Timehri Church)
3- Evangelism and Deeper Life team (Agricola church)
4- Youth Camp team (Hauraruni)
5- Worship equipping (Georgetown)
We started arriving from the 10th April for the mission activities to begin from the 14th right through to the 24th April. While there were many challenges, the devil clearly was trying to interrupt Father’s plan but the prayers of the saints everywhere garrisoned us and we saw all the devil’s plans fail. God blessed and prospered our every step; gave us supernatural strength, anointing, gifts to serve the body, great grace, favour and wisdom and so we accomplished that which we had set out to do and more. The mission schedule was very demanding we worked from early morning to late nights. We were all stretched to full capacity and beyond and saw the miraculous through our availing ourselves.
The feedback reports from the Georgetown ‘Worship Equipping Program’ reflect that we have had a 98% satisfaction and reception of all that was delivered. Praise God!
The Agricola Church and Leaders were all so over awed at the week of ministry. They were blessed, healed, delivered, revived, equipped, souls added and now pursuing their destiny of growth and lifestyle development to a fully equipped body ready for that which God will do in and through them.
The reports I have had from the evangelism and deeper life teams at Timehri, Coverden, Land of Canaan and Swan/ Wiaquabra Crusades/churches were ones of satisfaction, accomplishment and good results. Lives were changed, healed, strengthened, revived, restored and transformed. In our prayer and planning we felt Father was sending us to the churches in the remote and deprived areas as He wanted to give them special attention, and that is just what happened as I listened to all the reports Father used every team member to pour out His love and grace. As a bonus all the team members were also supernaturally blessed with an equipping and anointing flowing through them that they too were surprised as were blessed.
The Youth Camp was awesome! We planned for 200 to 250 youths, but we had 360 youths turn up. This blew up the plans and budget. But we quickly inclined our faith to Father to multiply the 5 loaves and 2 fishes, and He gave us the confidence to run with the challenge. On the launch night the Holy Spirit was there as He said and what an awesome time it was. The team was overtaken but the Holy Spirit gave them all that they needed to minister to the entire camp at the altar ministering to individual and specific needs. They said it was an awesome start. We Give God thanks and praise!
Our mission finale was a grand thanksgiving & worship celebration at the Albouystown Full Gospel Assembly. We invited all the people and churches who had been engaged with the different mission ministries over the week. This was a time of prophetic worship, hearing testimonies from the team and recipients of the various ministries throughout the week mixed with expressions of thanksgiving and worship through dance. We give God thanks and praise for all He has done! As we worshipped there was such a liberty and freedom that everyone just lingered at His feet in His presence. The Holy Spirit led me in a throne room prayer for the saints, churches and the nation, before Sister Carmen closed the celebration.
As I surrender my life to God in pursuit of an intimacy with Father through a lifestyle of Holiness and worship in pursuit of fulfilling my purpose and destiny, I stepped out in this mission call in obedience. It was a challenge of faith and obedience but God proved to me that obedience is better than sacrifice , that my obedience is my worship to Him and through obedience I will see the ‘Red Sea parted’, I will see the miracle signs and wonders. This mission has been an awesome experience of miracles for me. I have seen His plans fulfilled as I availed myself. I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus and I commit my life to worship and serve Him as I trust him for wisdom to live my life.
I would like to say a big thank you to Tom Inglis of Psalmody International and George Verwer of Operation Mobilisation Mobilization who graciously and generously facilitated the resources used on this mission. Bro. Winston McGowan, Reggie and Neal did a good job in organising and hosting the worship equipping program in Georgetown. It was great preparation, facilitating our delivery. Jennifer, Marcia and I are most grateful. I would also like to personally thank Bro. Keeshan, the Hauraruni Bible School and his team in the big undertaking to host the team of 17 people in Hauraruni, facilitating the youth camp and organising the evangelism and deeper life meetings. The team totally enjoyed the opportunity and experience of being and serving amongst you. Thank you once again!
Sankar and Kaawlie you guys and the Church were amazing, it was such a pleasure to serve with you all in the local church in Agricola, The team wants to come back.
